As we're on the topic of TV, I want to take a moment to announce that I strongly dislike Sons & Daughters on ABC. After seeing the initial promo spots, I got really pumped. I've watched the show for the last three weeks and I've formed these observations:

A) All of the characters are hateful, and not in an endearing, Arrested Devopment type of way.
B) The handheld camera would have been great... if it wasn't already done on Arrested Development for two whole seasons.
C) Everybody's divorced, even the kids. Does that make their family structure "edgy" and "current"?
D) Everybody's an asshole, even the kids. They all hate each other, and do stupid, illogical things to each other, and not in a fantastical, Arrested Development type of way.
E) Steve Carrell's hot right now. Bob Odenkirk has a lot of "underground" comedy cred. Let's cast a guy that is a perfect biological amalgamation these two people.
F) They blew their comedy wad in the promo spots. The entire thing.
G) "Hey... I'm the main character, and I'm a fucking moron. Everything I do is stupid. I have a big mouth. My mouth is so big, and I never think about what I say; so much so that in the second week, I manage to catalyze my parents' separation. Hil-fucking-arious. Great... now every single character in the show is officially divorced, separated, or hates their spouse. Fantastic - that is funny shit. Oh, and my TV wife is way too hot for a dork like me."

Some of you out there in LJ Land are too cool for TV. Many of you think TV is "pointless", "worthless", and even "crap". Well, let me tell you, TV has been very good to me over the last couple of years, and I would like to use this Top 5 (10?) Tuesday to express my gratitude and appreciation.
